Don't reveal too much about yourself--job, education, hobbies, likes, dislikes,etc.---too soon. If you do, the mystery is gone. Also, if you reveal too much, it makes you look easy going or the person might think you are too interested. If you can't keep the mystery going, the person would lose interest.
